I have spent 17 years in tax and public accounting — seven in the United Kingdom and ten in North America, across Canada and the United States. I trained with Big Five firms in both audit and tax roles before moving to Canada.

Since then I have prepared filings for more than 3,000 people and businesses. Personal returns, corporate returns, bookkeeping, HST, payroll, cross-border work — and a fair number of situations other firms had turned down.

I completed the CPA Tax Immersion Program through CPA Ontario, an advanced program in Canadian taxation. I also hold a three-year Advanced Diploma in Accounting and a Diploma in Bookkeeping, both from Algonquin College here in Ottawa.

I own businesses myself. I have made my own payroll and filed my own T2. I know what a CRA letter feels like when it lands on your desk, and I know what a deadline feels like from your side of it — not just mine.

My office is in Embrun Plaza. If you would rather sit across a desk from the person doing your taxes than upload documents to a portal and hope, that is the practice I have built.
