These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Canadian Tax Professional Ltd. website and your engagement with our tax, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, incorporation, CRA support, and related professional services. By using this website or requesting services from us, you agree to these terms.
Professional Services
Services are provided based on the information and documents supplied by the client and the scope agreed for the engagement. General website information is for informational purposes only and does not create a professional engagement or constitute legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice for any specific situation.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and timely information and for reviewing documents, returns, filings, and instructions before approval or submission. You must promptly advise us of relevant changes, notices, deadlines, or communications received from the CRA or other authorities.
Deadlines and Government Processing
We make reasonable efforts to meet agreed filing and response deadlines when complete information is provided on time. Government processing times, assessments, refunds, reviews, audits, penalties, interest, system outages, and decisions remain outside our control, and no particular outcome or processing time is guaranteed.
Fees and Payment
Fees are based on the agreed scope, complexity, time required, and any additional work requested or required. Additional services outside the original scope may be charged separately. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable when issued or before final filing or delivery of completed work.
CRA Reviews, Audits and Additional Work
Routine clarification relating directly to a return prepared by us may be included where appropriate. More extensive CRA reviews, audits, objections, appeals, document reconstruction, representation, or work requiring substantial additional time may be treated as a separate engagement and charged accordingly.
No Guarantee of Outcome
Tax and accounting outcomes depend on the facts, documentation, applicable law, and decisions of government authorities. We do not guarantee refunds, tax savings, audit results, assessments, financing outcomes, business results, or any other specific result.
Website Use and Intellectual Property
Website content, branding, text, graphics, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Canadian Tax Professional Ltd. and may not be copied, reproduced, or commercially reused without permission, except as permitted by law. You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorized access.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Canadian Tax Professional Ltd. is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses arising from website use, delayed or inaccurate client information, third-party systems, government actions, or matters outside the agreed scope of services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Third-Party Services and Links
Our website or services may use or link to third-party platforms, software, payment providers, government portals, or external websites. We are not responsible for the availability, security, content, or policies of third-party services.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version posted on this website will apply from its stated effective date.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, unless otherwise required by law.
